Peter Finlay MCSP, SRP

After completing a degree in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret College in Edinburgh, Peter completed his Junior rotations at St James Teaching Hospital in Leeds. During this time, he started working for the Leeds Tykes and Leeds Rhino’s rugby Academies. He progressed to become the first team Physiotherapist at Leeds Tykes Rugby Club before relocating to Newcastle in 2002

As well as the Leeds Rugby Teams Peter has worked with numerous sporting organisations including, Newcastle Falcons, English Institute of Sport, Durham Cricket Team and The Great North Run Organisation.

Peter is currently the physiotherapist for the Professional Jockeys Association in the North East of England and provides treatment at five of the local racecourses. Peter has worked individually with elite level Rugby players, cricketers, jockeys, runners, cyclists, tennis players, and dancers.

As a former Rugby player with Gosforth RFC, keen snowboarder and fairly average runner, Peter is passionate about fitness and health. He understands the demands that the modern lifestyle places on our bodies be it at work or in the sporting arena. He will work with your body to help restore normal pain free movement and function as fast as possible.

Peter Established his own clinic in 2007 combining his work between private practice and his work on the racecourses. His base is on Gosforth High street.
