Graham Lee – Grand National Winning Jockey

I suffered a traumatic hip dislocation after falling from a horse in 2011. Peter worked with me intensively at this time, sourcing the best specialist in the country and building me a rehab plan to enable a quick and safe return to race riding. I continue to see him regularly, just for maintenance and for any ongoing niggles.

Horse racing is a weird individual sport where you tend to have a small inner circle of people that you trust and rely on. Peter has become part of that team, a great physio and a good friend. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough

Brian Hughes - Champion Jump Jockey 2019/20

I have known Peter, through his work with the Professional Jockeys Association for over 10 years and been treated by him for a variety of different injuries. Jump Jockeys, in particular are a strange breed, and sometimes need to be saved from themselves. The biggest compliment that I can give Peter is that when he tells me that the injury is bad enough that I should not be riding, I know that I should be listening to him. He regularly goes above and beyond his duties, seeing us away from racecourses and always being on the end of the phone when we need advice.

My regular physio treatment is part of my pre-racing ritual and if I could, I would have Pete at every racecourse with me. He is well thought off throughout the weighing room and highly recommended

Paul Hanagan – Champion Flat Jockey 2010, 2011

Peter is someone who I hope I don’t need to ever call but it is nice to know he is always there if I need any treatment or advice. I’ve known him for over ten years, he is very well respected by all my fellow jockeys, and I would highly recommend him for anyone needing physiotherapy

Dr Neil Baxter – Business Turnaround Professional & member of Blumilk cycle team

I have been looked after by Peter for the best part of 10 years. It’s fair to say that without his ongoing treatment and preventative maintenance programmes that I would not still be racing bikes competitively in my mid 50s. Not only has Peter helped me to manage a chronic back condition by regular treatment but he has also designed a series of tailored gym programmes for me. These have enabled me to develop enhanced core and key muscle group strength which in turn has supported to year on year improvement in racing performances. The time and scholarship Peter put into this is way above and beyond any normal service but typifies his holistic and thorough approach to treatment, injury prevention and conditioning improvement.

Peter has a no nonsense approach combined with an almost super-natural ability to assess and diagnose musculoskeletal issues incredibly effectively. My wife is a highly experienced physio and Peter is the only person she likes to be treated by. I will continue to recommend him to my friends and just hope that he still has the time to keep me racing!

Catherine Eaton – Running Coach at Tyne Bridge Harriers

After having struggled for months with a chronic injury and no resolution by other physios, I had a recommendation to see Peter. Not only is Peter a great physiotherapist, but he is a fantastic diagnostician. On my first visit, Peter determined the root cause and the appropriate treatment needed. Throughout the visits for physio, my “home” work has been adapted accordingly in line with my return to fitness and I’m happy to say I’m now injury free. Peter not only helps to treat the problem but also explains the issues, provides home treatment you can do between visits and is hugely supportive in understanding the injury and how this can have an emotional as well as physical impact. I would highly recommend, the best in the area by far

Bruce McLain – Consultant Paediatrician, Senior Racecourse Medical Officer

I have worked with and been treated by Peter over the last 10 years. Peter works a s a Sports Physiotherapist, I know him mostly in the context with treatment of Jockeys as a Physiotherapist on Northern Racecourses. His ability to diagnose chronic and acute problems relating to musculoskeletal injury is excellent and his ability to put in place treatment and rehabilitation regimens that quickly ensure the individual returns to normal functioning as soon as possible.

He is able to identify self-help regimens that are easy to follow and to be utilised at home. I have seen him be effective in dealing with problems from young children to the elderly and his explanations are easy to follow and understand. If you have a musculoskeletal problem, I would struggle to recommend anyone better
